We are looking for a Chief AI Officer (CAIO) to join us as a Co‑Founder, who will take end‑to‑end ownership of AI strategy, revenue‑driven presales, AI program design, and internal AI transformation across the organization.
Role Overview
The Chief AI Officer (CAIO) will be a strategic and execution‑focused leader responsible for driving AI‑led revenue, owning AI consulting presales globally, overseeing P&L for the AI education business initially, and embedding AI across all business functions including marketing, HR, sales, finance, and product development.
This is a founder‑level role with high ownership, accountability, and upside. The first 3 months will be purely commission‑based, focused on validating revenue, market traction, and leadership impact. Based on performance, the role will transition to a fixed CTC with ESOPs and equity shares.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Consulting & Presales (First 3 Months – Primary Focus)
- Lead and own presales activities for AI consulting projects across NAM, EU, ANZ, EMEA, and SEA.
- Engage directly with enterprise clients to:
- Understand business problems and translate them into AI‑driven solutions
- Design high‑level and detailed AI solution architectures
- Define scope, timelines, pricing, and delivery models
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to convert opportunities into closed deals.
- Act as the AI thought leader in client discussions, pitches, demos, and solution walk‑throughs.
- Drive commission‑based revenue generation during the initial 90‑day period.
2. P&L Ownership – AI Education Business (Initial Phase)
- Take end‑to‑end responsibility for P&L management of the AI education vertical.
- Define pricing, margins, cost structures, and revenue targets for AI programs.
- Ensure programs are market‑aligned, outcome‑driven, and scalable.
- Work closely with operations, marketing, and sales to drive enrollments and profitability.
3. AI Strategy & Organization‑Wide Implementation
- Define and execute the company‑wide AI strategy across:
- Marketing (AI‑driven growth, automation, performance optimization)
- Sales (lead scoring, CRM intelligence, deal forecasting)
- HR (AI‑assisted hiring, performance tracking, workforce planning)
- Finance (forecasting, cost optimization, reporting automation)
- Product Development (AI‑native product thinking and rapid experimentation)
- Identify internal workflows where AI can reduce cost, increase speed, and improve decision‑making.
- Drive adoption of AI tools, platforms, and custom solutions across teams.
4. AI Program Design & Consulting
- Design, structure, and continuously improve AI education programs, bootcamps, and enterprise training offerings.
- Ensure curriculum is:
- Industry‑relevant
- Use‑case driven
- Aligned with real enterprise AI implementations
- Provide consulting inputs to clients and internal teams on AI roadmaps, maturity models, and transformation journeys.
5. Teaching & Knowledge Leadership
- Take lectures, masterclasses, or workshops when required for:
- AI education programs
- Enterprise clients
- Internal team enablement
- Act as a public‑facing AI leader for Orants AI through talks, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives.
6. Founder‑Level Leadership & Governance
- Work closely with the founding team to shape long‑term vision, strategy, and execution.
- Build and mentor AI, engineering, and consulting teams as the company scales.
- Establish best practices for AI ethics, security, scalability, and compliance.
Required Qualifications & Background
- Educational background from IIT, NIT, BITS, or VIT.
- Strong hands‑on and strategic experience in AI / ML / GenAI / Data Science.
- Proven experience in AI consulting, solutioning, or enterprise AI deployments.
- Prior exposure to presales, client‑facing roles, or revenue ownership.
- Strong understanding of business fundamentals, including P&L, pricing, and unit economics.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with or selling into global markets (NAM, EU, ANZ, EMEA, SEA).
- Background in startups, high‑growth companies, or founder‑like roles.
- Experience designing or delivering AI education, training, or upskilling programs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Compensation & Equity Structure
- First 3 Months:
- Commission‑only model tied to AI consulting revenue and deal closures.
- Post 3 Months (Performance‑Based Conversion):
- Fixed CTC
